Today was the first full hiking day for almost a month that my feet were dry at the end of the day. This was partly due to new shoes and partly due to the fact that the snow is slowly disappearing.
For a town day, Jewel Thief and I got a decent start of 9:45AM. Most of the day was spent wandering around countless lakes. In fact, there was only one climb of significance: up and over Dick’s Pass. With the typical lack of sleep we were on from town, lunch contained a nice long nap as well.
We dropped elevation to camp tonight. The mosquitoes were very thick, but fled when we got a fire going. I hope to get a nice long sleep tonight to catch up.
