We woke up, packed up, and hiked the 2 miles down to White Pass arriving at 8:10. I had slept fitfully, being frequently awakened by some rodent trying to abscond one of my Snickers. We relaxed for a bit in the store while we sorted through our resupply boxes. Finally about 10:30 we made it back to the trail.
This section of trail seems to be loved by horses as we saw several different groups riding. The trail itself is nothing to speak of – the only points of interest were the numerous small lakes we passed. Finally late afternoon we climbed a ridge with great views of Raineer. It was getting dark as we made it to Anderson Lake and we setup camp and cooked by headlamp. The temperature is dropping rapidly – it looks like it is going to be a cold one.
