Pear Lake

Posted from Leavenworth, Washington, United States.

There ended up being 6 other PCT hikers at the Dinsmores with us. It had been a long time since we had encountered most of them and we had a grand ole time. True to form however, leaving early proved difficult. We ended up catching a ride up to the pass with Whoopin Stick and his friend. All in all it was 11:30 when we started hiking.

Around lunch we caught up with Bernard, a French hiker finishing up his last section this year. The 3 of us hiked together the rest of the afternoon. We all arrived at Pear Lake, which was crowded with a Washington Trails Association trail crew and a forest service ranger (yes apparently they do exist). We found a couple of tent sites that were partially under trees and set up for the night.
