MacDonald Pass

Rainclouds above Stemple Pass
Rainclouds above Stemple Pass

Some sections are gorgeous. Some sections are to get from A to B. This section was the later. The trail was unremarkable and frequently routed over dirt roads and jeep tracks. In addition it rained about half of the time. When you setup camp after a long rain your stuff inevitably gets damp. When you then wake up to rain it gets even wetter while packing. Needless to say we cheered when the sun came out and we could dry our tents and sleeping bags. Here’s hoping that the next section is more rewarding.
